During his short swim to the surface Eric decided that if she had yet to say anything by the time he retrieved his clothes and boots that he'd never try and make a move on her again. Perhaps he had read her wrong in the first place. It was probably more like wishful thinking on his part, imagining that she had kissed him back. Still, even if it were true, Eric smiled to himself as his feet found leverage and he stood up, the water was only up to his ankles now. He stood there for a split second thinking about turning around to see what she was doing, but just as he rejected that thought her voice rang out and filled his ears. His current smile turned into that of a satisfied grin as he turned around and looked in her direction.
So he hadn't imagined things after all. Great! But before giving into her request Eric began to undo his belt buckle then pulled down his jeans before kicking them off to the side leaving him in nothing but his Elmo boxers. Had anyone else been there their impression of what was about to happen would have been wrong. The only reason why he had removed his pants was because they made it hard to swim in. Once he was free of them darn pants he altered course, walking back into the water. When the water reached a deep enough level he dove in submerging his entire body beneath the surface.
Eric didn't come up for a breath until he swam on past Brooklynn, but only by a few feet. Then as he surfaced he looked to her grinning all the while. He didn't say anything but nudged his head inviting or rather daring her to follow him deeper into the middle of the lake. Eric didn't wait to see her response as he soon swam his way out until his feet could no longer touch. There he waited for her.
Once she arrived Eric tried to put on an all seriousness facial expression. "I don't think I owe ya anythin' anymore, but if you convince me otherwise maybe I'll give ya want ya want." He was being cocky and for the time enjoying every moment of it.

She watched him for a long time as he almost made it all the way out of the water before she had called out to him. As he turned back to face her, a smile was on his face and she couldn't help but smile back. As he undid his belt and slipped out of his muddy and soaked jeans she didn't speaking, simply watching him with interest in her eyes. Once he was free of his jeans, he came back into the water in only his boxers, diving underwater before swimming all the way over to her before daring her to follow him into the middle of the pond where the water was to deep to touch the bottom. She narrowed her eyes a bit, trying to figure out what he was trying to do but decided to humor him and followed him out into the middle of the lake.
They both had to tread water in order to keep from sinking and she watched him as he began to speak, raising her brows and smiling a bit as he finished speaking. Boy was he cocky, especially when he had been the one to jump at the chance to kiss her, not the other way around. Though she was more than excited about getting to kiss him again but she hadn't admitted that yet.
"Oh what I want, what about what you want. Don't even tell me you don't want it too. . ." she replied, swimming closer and closer to him until she was so close that their bodies were almost touching. Her voice dropped to a softer tone as she trailed off a bit, a sly yet seductive smirk on her face as her light green eyes sparkled. She raised her brows a bit, a challenge to do something while the smile remained on her face.
"Your move cowboy." she added softly, tilting her head to the side a bit as she watched him, waiting to see if he would man up and kiss her again. Though kissing would be a bit challenging since they were in the deepest part of the pond. But Brooklynn neither cared or thought about that as her light green eyes watched his face, waiting to see what he would do next.

Eric wasn't exactly sure why he had swam into the middle of the lake. It wasn't like he'd be able to do anything there except dive under and grab up a rock from the bottom. Treasure hunting wasn't exactly on his to do list at the moment. More than likely he was curious to see how far she'd follow him and to what extent. Although swimming out to the middle of the lake was hardly a trip in itself. So when Brooklynn caught up with him and announced that it was his move - calling him a cowboy nonetheless, which he'd have to straighten her out about that later - Eric was still and silent not really sure what to do next.
Without really thinking too much, Eric reached out and grabbed a hold of her hand. He then began swimming to the other side of the lake pulling her along with him whether she wanted to follow or not. The two didn't go far. Only far enough that they could touch and wouldn't be caught off balance by the slight current of the water. The level reached up to just below his collar bone. From there he figured it was still his move so with a shrug Eric reached out, wrapping both of his hands around her middle, and pulled her to him in one giant swoop. He left no room for her to speak or speak for that matter before diving in for a second kiss.
This time around Eric dove right into it, firmly pressing his lips up against her own with of a bit of force. If only she had known how long it had been since he had last done anything with a girl. Kissing, cuddling, having intimate relations and even something as simple as holding a girl's hand. He had survived this long and probably could have gone longer had Brooklynn never showed up and moved in for the summer. It was like dangling a piece of meat in front of a starving lion.
Eric's hands slid around and glided up her back, one hand went beneath her shirt while the other continued on it's path. His fingertips combed through her wet hair and held the back of her head, tilting it off to the side as he broke the kiss and soon found the softness of her neck with his lips. Eric knew that if he didn't stop soon things would go too far. He couldn't allow that to happen no matter how bad he wanted it..or rather her.

It took quite some time for Eric to move and for a moment she was starting to think that maybe he didn't want to kiss her as bad as she wanted to kiss him again but relief soon flooded her body when he took her hand and pulled her into shallower water so that he would touch easily and she could touch if she stood on her tip toes. They stood there for a moment, just looking at each other until his hands finally went to her body and he pulled her close to him, her clothed chest pressing up against his bare muscular chest. In the same instant he pulled her towards him, she wrapped her arms around his neck, helping to hold herself up a bit higher since she was shorter than him and couldn't touch the muddy bottom quite as well.
Her eyes closed as his lips quickly went in for another kiss, a smile playing at the corners of her mouth as he continued to kiss her. Tilting her head a bit more, her lips moved hungrily against his as well and in one fluid motion, she pushed off the bottom of the lake and wrapped her legs around his waist so that she wouldn't have to struggle with the height difference between them anymore. Her fingers ran through his wet hair while they kissed, both wanting each other more than they could handle.
When his lips shifted from her mouth to her neck, her breath caught in her throat and she tilted her head back a bit, her eyes still closed as she enjoyed the feeling of his lips against the sensitive skin on her neck. Her lips parted a bit as she relished in the feeling of his body so close to hers and she was starting to feel the weight of her soaked clothes even heavier than before. Her legs stayed wrapped loosely around his waist, the water taking care of most of her weight as she held onto him. Arching her back a bit, she pulled him closer to her, not wanting to let him go but knowing that she would have to very soon.
Pushing those thoughts away, she shifted back to what was happening then and now, his breath trailing along her neck while his kisses gave her goosebumps as they went.

[/i] It was all he heard, but still he could not. Not yet anyways. Brooklynn was having a strong affect on him almost as if he were caught in a spell. Perhaps it was the magic of the moonlight's glow casting upon the rippling water of the lake or maybe it was just her. Either way Eric didn't care. Low and behold, however, Eric finally gave in even though he wished to continue smothering her bringing that moment all the more close. His lips parted from her skin before he stood fully upright. "I uh.. We should go. My parents will be expectin' us for dinner real soon." It was an excuse but at the same time it held the truth. He opened his mouth as if to add something else, but he decided against it. Instead he unwrapped her legs from around his middle and placed her back down in the water, his hands stayed put on her hips in case she had a hard time touching the bottom. Eric gave her one last smile before he dove back under the water and swam to the other side, expecting her to follow him once more. After making it to the shore he quickly went to throwing his wet jeans back on along with his shirt. For the time he decided to keep his boots off. He could walk back barefoot. There Eric continued to wait until Brooklynn had her boots back on. "Shall we?" He waved an arm out in front of him gesturing for her to take the lead back to the house.[/size] ((ooc: Sorry it took me forever. I've had a rough week.))[/ul]

While Brooklynn would have given anything to stay in that moment forever, she knew that they would have to part soon, especially if they kept going then things could end up going to far. When he finally broke away from their kiss, she knew that it was for the best even though she didn't want to admit it. As he swam across the pond to the side of the water where his clothes waited and her boots and hat sat on the bank. She remained where she was for a moment before she followed him across the pond before resurfacing and climbing out of the water before taking her shirt and squeezing as much of it as possible to get the excess water out. She did the same thing with her cut off shorts before wringing out her long brown hair as well. Picking up her hat and putting it back on her head before slipping back into her boots, she smiled a bit at him when he spoke.
"Let's go." she replied simply, giggling a bit at his silly gesture before heading towards the house. As they came towards the front of the house, Brooklynn was about to go in the front door but then changed her mind, heading around the side of the house so they could go into the back door of the house so that way they wouldn't get the carpet wet and his mom could grab them towels so they could dry off a bit as well.
Walking on the side of the house, she turned the corner and came around to the back side of the house, a smile on her face as she glanced back at him who was walking behind her before turning forward again. The light from the kitchen could be seen streaming out of the screen door, making a large rectangle of light on the grass outside the door.
