There seemed to be quite a few newcomers to LA lately, or at least ever sine Chance had gotten back in town from filming. He had met Felix and now Eric. It was always good to meet new people and Chance was glad to get a change in scenary compared to the normal people he hung out with all the time. He had met Eric the other day at the bar and they had gotten along pretty well. They both liked the same football team and that was a good way to start a friendship, at least according to Chance it was.
Chance had invited Eric over to his place to watch the game that was on tonight and he was ready for a night of bro bonding. Chance had ordered pizza that had just arrived, the fridge was stocked with beer and other food and kickoff was in twenty minutes. It had been awhile since Chance had a simple bros night but that could have to do with the fact that he didn't have a ton of friends that were guys due to the fact that he had the tendency to be a bit of an asshole sometimes. He didn't do it on purpose but he had gotten into a fair amount of fights because he didn't know when to shut up. But that didn't matter right now cause Eric was gonna be there any minute.
Chance headed into the kitchen and snagged a piece of meat lover's pizza before eating it quickly. He then went over to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of beer before popping the cap and tossing it into the trash can. Taking a swig, he smiled, pizza and beer was a pretty damn good combination. Heading into the large living room with the massive flat screen tv, he picked up the remote and turned it on to the pregame as he waited for Eric to arrive.

It had been a quite uneventful visit so far for Eric as he had only arrived in Los Angeles but a week ago. It was a large city and there were a lot of things to do, but Eric being a country boy, had no idea where to begin in such a massive place. The people here were unlike anything he had known. There was a large sum of rich and even famous people walking the streets of L.A. right down to the dirtiest foulest smelling bums he had ever accounted in his life. All of them shared the same sidewalks, but completely ignored one another. Something to be expected. Eric questions himself quite a bit as to why he had ever considered coming to a place such as this. To be honest he already missed the twenty acres back home and his mothers chocolate pecan pie.
A few days ago, however, Eric had decided to go out for a drink. A refreshing cold beer would do him some good he figured. And he had been right as that night he had met a Mr. Chance Caine. Some aspiring actor whom he had never heard of before. Despite his assuming first impression of the man he turned out to be quite alright. The two had similar interests, such as the football game that had been playing on the television. Lucky for Chance they both were rooting for the same team. Another plus. They parted that night with Chance extending an invitation for Eric to come by his place for some pizza, beer and more football. Three of the best things in the world on Eric's top ten list. How could he have refused?
It had taken Eric a while but sooner than later he had made it to the building where Chance lived and after parking his older black Chevy truck he made his way to the door. He was wearing his usual garb of his work boots, faded blue jeans - belt buckle and all - and a plain gray teeshirt. For the night he decided to leave his plaid button up at home. There weren't to be any ladies, or at least he didn't think, so there was no need to dress it up. Upon reaching the door Eric rapped loudly and waited for Chance to answer.

When a knock sounded on the front door of his huge beach side mansion, Chance turned away from the tv and headed towards the doorway, scarfing down the last bite of his pizza before wiping his hands on his pants. Pulling open the door, he swallowed his food before smiling at Eric and letting him in the house. Shutting the door behind him, Chance led the way around the large staircase and showed him into the kitchen so that they could grab some food before heading into the living room for the game.
"Glad you could make it, that game is just about to start. If you wanna grab the pizza, I'll get the beer." he suggested, pointing to the entire box of pizza and the paper plates that were sitting on top of the closed box. As Eric grabbed the pizza box and plates, Chance went to the fridge and grabbed two beers, his first beer still in his hand. As he drained the rest out of his first one, he tossed the empty bottle in the trash before popping the tops off of the two new ones and heading into the living room after Eric.
As he sat down on the couch beside Eric, he handed him one of the open beers before taking a piece of pizza out of the box and placing it on one of the plates. As the kickoff to the game started, Chance and Eric cheered on their favorite team and yelled at the refs when they made a bad call as well. When the first set of commercials came on, Chance got up and headed into the kitchen that was connected to the living room before tossing the two empty beer bottles in the trash and popping the caps off of two new ones before heading back into the living room.
"So tell me, how ya likin' Cali so far? Met any girls?" he asked, sitting back down and handing him a beer. Chance looked over at Eric, raising his brows a bit at the mention of girls. Girls were Chance's forte and they were definitely his favorite part about living in the sunny state of California. And LA girls were by far some of the hottest girls around.
