likes; beer, skateboarding, rock/screamo music, messing around with music, his guitar, his bros, pretending he's tougher than he really is, making perverted jokes, his keyboard, nights when you have nothing better to do then whatever you want, LA style, chicks
dislikes; haters, wanna-bes, warm beer, dependency, staying in the tour bus with his buddies for too long ((weird stuff happens in cramped spaces))
fears; becoming too close with a girl, depending on anyone but himself, meeting his father, death
overall personality;
Jorel acts different ways in different situations and around different people. Many decide that he is a jerk before they ever have an actual conversation with him. Around strangers, he is quiet, but not shy. He's not afraid to speak out, he just doesn't want to. These people don't get him. Around friends, he is outgoing and ((okay...)) perhaps a bit perverted. He likes to input his opinion and, oftentimes, his opinion is more of a joke. Alone, he is serious and sometimes sees things in a negative, glass-half-empty attitude. He often thinks down on himself and is always his own worst critic. He does take criticism well; laughing. You can get a chuckle out of him pretty easy on a good day, but if you've sent to him the floor, tears in his eyes, all-out laughing, then you're either one very funny or pathetic person. In relationships, he is very physical and tends to show his emotions through physical actions rather than words. In many cases, "You're an idiot." can be translated to "I love you." It's hard ((debatably, impossible)) to get him to actually say "I love you." And, like most men, he is uncomfortable talking about how he truly feels in relationship to dating. However, on topics such as issues, ((moral/everyday/etc.)) he is more than willing to give his opinion. He is an atheist.

history;
Jorel is very rarely called a normal 23-year-old. Like many 23-year-olds in the city of LA, his life revolves around women, alcohol, and that soul quest that you knew was yours from the very beginning; music. What sets him apart, however, is how differently his kind views the world. 'His kind' is used only as a description, neither an insult nor a term a endearment. 'His kind' seem to be the riff-raff. To high-end Hollywood, they are filthy thieves. The rich hates the poor. This is the way of it, and it always will be. But, neither are likely to disappear.
Jorel was born without a father. The moment he learned that Jorel's mother was pregnant, he left. Never to return. In the area of Hollywood where he was born, it wasn't particularly uncommon. He made several friends in the same situation; father gone and mother distant. His mother did, however, provide him with food and shelter throughout his childhood. So, theoretically, he didn't have a problem with his mother. But, the effect his privative father had on him was irreversible. Prescription-grade abandonment issues lead to a certain fear of close relationships, thereby leading to a one-night-stand approach to women. It also left him with some depression problems. His go-to escape was always music. He shared this desire for release with the majority of his childhood friends. He began to relate to them in a profound sense. They grew close and, eventually, formed a band that grew to be adequately successful.
The story begins the morning after learning their first album had gone platinum in the United States.
