It had been a little over a month since Kenzie had seen Chance, and to be quite frank, she wasn't all that bummed about it. She had too much going on in her life at that moment to have to try and deal with another's problems as well as her own. Yes, they were friends, and no she didn't mind listening and giving the man advice. However, after what had happened she just couldn't seem to see him the same way. She had pulled a fast one on the pour guy. She made sure she was up, dressed, and gone well before he had crawled out of bed, and ever since, she had not spoken to him, answered his calls or texts, and had made a point to avoid him in every sense of the manner. Say it was cruel, or bitchy, but hey Kenzie was getting a little tougher from being in this industry, and maybe it was not a bad thing.
Course, she had not slept with anyone else since she had with Chance, she just still was not that type of girl, but she did crave it. Sex was an addiction, and though she couldn't believe she was hooked off of one time, she was. She guessed it was just a normal instinct to crave for sex. She had enjoyed him, she would not lie about that, not one bit. However, she would admit that it may have ruined a perfectly good friendship, and she was not blaming him. She had been the one who had said that everything would be fine, and it was just for fun, but things changed, and so did situations. Kenzie had other men in her line of sight. And most of them couldn't hold a candle to dear Chance, and she figured most of them would know it and shy from her. She hadn't told anyone about what she had done. Especially not Brooke, after all the nagging she did to her about sleeping around.
Kenzie lounged in the corner of the club, sitting in her own booth with a couple of friends. She joked with the man sitting next to her, who was all too willing to feel up her bare legs. She didn't say anything to him though, but kept the conversation flowing. Kenzie smiled as the cocktail waitress brought them another bottle, and another round of shots. Kenzie tipped up her shot, then went back to flirting with the relatively good looking man sitting close to her. She could hear him, which was obvious, but she barely replied to him, humming along in her head to the music that blasted over head. She smiled and nodded, before tipping back another shot, and pouring herself a glass of the hard liquor. She felt a good buzz coming on, but she seemed to have a better tolerance than she had had before. Oh what a boring night this seemed to be.

Chance had to admit that he had been very confused when he had woken up the next morning to find that Kenz had been dressed and gone from his bed and house for that matter before he had even woken up. He had tried to call her and text her but couldn't seem to get a hold of her. It was as if she was completely ignoring him and making a point of avoiding him and he wasn't quite sure why. He was guessing that it had something to do with the two of them having sex but he wasn't sure what had caused her to change her mind so suddenly. After all, that night he hadn't wanted to do it with her simply because he didn't know if she would want to or if she was just saying she wanted to at the moment. But she had insisted and he hadn't argued. Even immediately following their little sex session, she had seemed perfectly fine and they had both gone to sleep. But yet when he had woken up she was nowhere to be found and he hadn't seen or heard from her in over a month now.
Strolling into the front door of the bar, a smile was on his face as he greeted a few people here and there that he knew. Stopping to talk to a couple of beautiful women he had met before as well and flirting with them a bit before heading over to the bar to get a shot of patron and tossing it back easily. He got one more before leaning his back against the bar and scanning the area to see who else was out and about on this fine evening. He was dressed in a light grey, almost white suit and tie with pants to match. He had just come from an interview and had to dress up for it. But now he was glad ot have the rest of the evening to himself and be able to do what he wanted.
It wasn't until his light blue eyes came to rest on the familiar form of Mahkenzie that he took one more shot before heading over to the table she was sitting at with another man and a few of her friends. Now was his chance to figure out what had happened that was causing her to avoid him and he really did want to know. Maybe if it was some random girl he wouldn't care that much but she was his friend and he actually cared about her and wanted to fix things. Coming to stand in front of their table, he smiled at everyone before turning to look at her.
"Hey Kenz. Mind if we talk?" he asked, not wasting any time and getting straight to the question. He knew that she knew what he wanted to talk about so there was no point beating around the bush. He gestured away from the table to let her know that he wanted to talk to her in private, not in front of everyone. Their conversation would be awkward enough without having an audience to go along with it.

Kenzie laughed along with her friends, her hand going to her leg to show the man a boundary. Course, he ignored it, so she gave up on him. She laughed again downing another shot with her group. The music pulsed and Kenzie swayed along with it. Her beautiful smile shone lightly, and her eyes were on fire as she took another sip from her glass. It was a strong poison, for it burned harshly as it slid down her throat into her stomach. She had a feeling she probably would not be getting up to early the next morning, but she was going to regret it, that was for sure. The waitress brought another round, and down went her two shots. She was hitting them hard that night for some reason. Maybe it had been the stressful week that had cause this, or maybe it was something else. Either way she was enjoying herself.
Kenzie did feel bad about how she had gone about things. It wasn't anything to do with the fact he fucked her... well it did... but it wasn't that she was regretting it. She had enjoyed it, she just didn't feel like him anymore, if that made any sense. Course, there was also a part of her that felt like showing him what he did to many women. And that was fucking, and never talking to them again. Womanizing, if you will. Kenzie wasn't a vindictive girl, but the thought had crossed her mind as to why that was what she doing. She knew it wasn't right, as they had been good friends, and it had been hard to ignore him, but she had accomplished it. Soon enough he had stopped texting and calling, so it had made things much easier for her in the end.
Kenzie continued her joking and laughing, and downing her shots. Though, it amazed her that they still hadn't touched her. Kenzie had been drinking more often lately, but traveling out of town to do so. Maybe it was pathetic she went that far to avoid him, but it was also that she liked to go to the more rural towns, with the good country bars. She felt more at home there than she did at night clubs like this, where it was more appropriate to dress like she was this night. Her clothes where much more fancy with her lilac sheer dress, heart tights, brown boots, and accessories. She enjoyed throwing on her boots, blue holed up jeans, and a white tank top. She missed Texas, most of all she missed fitting in while being herself. None of this was Chance's fault of course, but it was what it was. She wouldn't say that she was proud of herself, because she wasn't. Things were just how they were.
Kenzie glanced up when she heard a voice, and before she had even gotten to his face, his attire and voice had told her exactly who he was. shit Kenzie thought to herself as she glanced up at him. It was obvious on her face that she was a little shocked to see him. She had figured after so much time had past, he wouldn't have bothered to approach her if he had seen her, but she should have known much better than that. He asked her to speak to her, and she knew he meant in private. Excusing herself from her group she slid past the man she sat next to, flinching slightly as she felt his hand slide across her ass. Some guys just had no class, though she ignored his actions at this point. She had a lot more on her plate than his groping her. "Chance." she greeted him simply, and offering him a cordial smile. "What might you need, hun?" she asked this question but of course, she knew what he wanted to talk about. One way to mess up a relaxing night.

Chance was glad when she didn't suggest that they talk a different time or say that she was busy. He didn't know when the next chance he would get to speak with her and wanted to take full advantage of this opportunity. He wanted to know what he had done that had made her leave without a word and not talk to him after that. Had he done something wrong? He had felt guilty ever since they had slept together because he knew that it had to be the cause of her icing him out and not speaking to him but there was only one way to be certain and he was hoping to get things cleared up tonight.
His light blue eyes watched as she slid out of the booth, sliding past the man she was with and Chance's jaw tensed as he saw the man's hand slide across her ass as if she was just something for him to grab. He thought about saying something to the man but since him and Kenz were already on shaky ground, he didn't want to make anything worse between them by getting in a fight with a guy that could very well be her new boyfriend for all he knew. When she asked him what he wanted to talk about, he glanced around a bit confused that she would even have to ask but didn't question it and instead started speaking.
"Well I'm a little confused as to why you've been ignoring me since. . . that night. Did I do something wrong or what exactly is going on because I don't know about you but I would like to be able to be friends again." he began, not wanting to say too much until he got a bit of information from her first.

Kenzie had duly noted his jaw clenching, he must have seen John's actions. He wasn't her boyfriend, he was friend, well supposed to be a friend but it was obvious he wanted a little more than just friendship out of her. Course, she was confused as to why it would bother him. They hadn't spoken in over a month yet seeing another man grabbing her ass had obviously pissed him off slightly. She knew Chance, and she was relatively surprised he had not said anything, but either way she was glad he hadn't. She didn't need a fight started when she had so much on her mind at that point in time. Kenzie knew that her own actions in the way she had chose to go about things had probably made him feel guilty, and think that this was simply because he had screwed her, but it wasn't the case. She wasn't sure how the conversation was going to go, but she didn't figure it would be good.
Kenzie watched him as he spoke, he seemed calm enough, but still a little irritated by her statements. His tone was sharp as he spoke to her, and she knew none of this was going to end well. She could just tell by the look in his eyes, and her own attitude rising up. She knew she had to control herself, but Chance had never quite seen just how feisty this girl could get. She was irritated, and annoyed but too many situations in one night. Kenzie was normally mellow, calm, and collected. But things had just not been going her way that night, or the past few weeks. She knew it wouldn't be right to take it out on chance, but she also knew that her temper was flaring slightly. Though, she could control it normally well. So she listened to him, and he was watching her.
She could tell he was done with his statement, and he was waiting for a response from her. She sighed softly, pulling down the hem of her dress that rose far too high on her thigh for her own comforts. She glanced back up at him. "What's wrong Chance... You cannot take what you dish out. You around this town fucking whoever you want, and using whoever you want. I just wonder how it feels when the tables turn. Chance Caine." her tones dripped with sarcasm, and they were relatively harsh for the normal Kenzie. "Is it so hard to believe that someone caught onto your game, and did you like you do to so many? Not everyone's gonna fall head over heels in love with ya, darlin." Kenzie's well manicured finger poked him in the chest slightly. This was so not the normal Kenzie, but at least she was speaking her mind.

It would be an understatement to say that Chance was side swiped by her sarcastic tone and angry words that were her reply. He almost felt like he had been punched in the face. He glanced around to see if anyone was watching them but when no one seemed to be paying them any attention to them or their conversation, he turned his light blue gaze back to her, his own irritation starting to rise up in his chest as she called him out on something he had no idea had even been an issue.
"What the fuck Kenz!? Where is this coming from? If you had sex with me just so you could turn it around and make an example out of it, that's bullshit! I thought we were friends and I was worried about you when you left without a word. I tried to talk to you but you wouldn't speak to me. And I'm not askin' you to fall in love with me! Damn!" he replied, feeling a bit bad about the sharp tone his own voice had but if she had really slept with him just so she could turn around and play his "game" on him and ignore him like she thought he did to other girls then he didn't know her as well as he thought he did.
The biggest thing that had drawn him to her in the beginning when they first met was the fact that she was a real person and didn't get caught up in all the drama or rumors or gossip or backstabbing that all of the other celebrities had a tendency of getting involved in. But maybe that was only because she hadn't been famous long enough and it hadn't sunk in yet. Whatever the reason, he wasn't sure he liked the Mahkenzie Garland he was seeing.

To say the least, Kenzie was shocked by her own attitude towards someone she had been so close to. But the fact was, had they really been that close? She had heard the rumors of what he would say about her behind her back, and for the most part she did not believe them in any way, but as it turned out she sort of did. She didn't think it made her bad person to believe something she had heard so many times over. It wasn't like fifty people were going to come up with the same exact story and never mess it up. She was naive, but she was not dumb by any means. He knew that, and she knew that. She knew that her words and her poking him would probably bring out the anger in him, but she was not afraid of him. She knew he wouldn't lay a hand on her if his life depended on it. He just wasn't that type of guy.
Just as she had been thinking that her words probably angered him, his facial expression proved it. She was sure fireworks were going to blaze now. She knew that he could get a little heated when he wanted to, and she had a feeling she was about to suffer the wrath of his anger, but she didn't really care. Why was she wrong for trying to protect herself from him. She had thought as she had laid there in bed next to him while she slept. She knew she was going to fall for him, and he was not going to fall for her back. So why was she so wrong for protecting her heart? She just didn't want to be hurt again, and it wasn't like she could explain this to him. Men just didn't understand how girl's feelings worked. They were different from men's feelings, and she knew if she started falling, it would be her falling apart in the end.
His words cut through her like a hot knife through butter and instantly she felt her temper flaring just a bit more. he didn't ask her to fall in love with him? Of course not, because Chance Caine didn't love anyone. He wasn't that way. "Chance, get a fucking clue here! That is not why I slept with you, you of all people should know me better than that. But it was just a point I was making. And no, you didn't ask me to love you. I am fucking sorry, that I knew I was just going to get hurt by you, and that all I was was no more than a notch on your bed post, and sooner or later someone better would come along. And guess who would be hurt, not you, because you don't give a fuck about anyone do you Chance. Well, it's time I stop caring about you, because it sure as hell won't be you getting hurt in the end, now will it?" she snapped right back at him, and Kenzie didn't swear, but she was cussing like a sailor. She was definitely mad, and she didn't care who was watching or listening.

Chance was trying to process all of this as she was saying it and at first it had sounded like she was mad at him for sleeping with girls and then supposedly ignorning them after he had gotten what he wanted which wasn't the case. But then as she spoke once more, her story seemed to change and it now started to sound like she was mad at him because she was falling for him and didn't want to. He couldn't blame her for not wanting to fall for him. While it wasn't that he didn't care about people, he cared about lots of other people. The thing about Chance was that he had a hard time letting anyone get close enough to hurt him. His mother and father had been the two closest people to him and look where that had gotten him. His mother had died of cancer when he was only seven and his father and up and left him to be raised by nannies after that, not really caring that he even had a son and instead spoiling him with money and gifts to try and keep him happy when all he wanted was his family back.
"Look Kenz, I don't know what you feel towards me but hurting you is the last thing I would want to do. Whether you believe that or not is up to you. And it's fine if you think that all I wanna do is hurt you and other women. But I want you to know one thing. I love you like a sister and would NEVER want to see you get hurt. Especially by me." he replied, his voice losing a bit of it's previous anger now as he saw that the real reason behind her being so mad at him was most likely the fact that she was falling for him and knew he probably wouldn't fall for her in return. She was trying to protect herself from getting hurt but she had to at least try and give him the chance to show her that he wasn't going to hurt her. They could figure something out. It didn't have to end with them hating each other and never talking again. He cared about her too much to let that be the case.

Kenzie could see him trying to make sense of her rantings. She knew it made sense to her, but in all appearances it was not making any sense to him at all. She sighed softly. She didn't know what else she could say, and it really wasn't seeming like their problem was going to be resolved any time soon. Her temper was simmering down though, so it was easy to see how she could maybe more rational about things. More so than she had been two minutes again. She just couldn't help what she knew was apparent. No, she wasn't falling for him yet, but yet was the key word. There was always the possibility her girly ways could take over and bam, she'd be dealing with heart break and he'd be perfectly okay with life. It wasn't gonna be the case for her. She didn't want things to be like that. She had wanted to stay friends, but she really had needed time to cool off, and get her emotions figured out before she continued to run over there because she knew actions would just repeat themselves, how could they not.
Kenzie heard his words and a quick flare of anger struck her again. She knew it was obvious in her eyes that she was once more angry again. "Wow, Chance, that's real cute. You love me like a sister. Maybe you ought to think about telling someone that before you bang them. That's a little friggan odd." she snipped quickly at him, though not as bad as she had been before, it was obvious she was calming down, but that one statement had really bothered her. She didn't see him like a brother, but only as a friend, and she loved him as such. But not a brother, had she loved him as a brother she would have never spread her legs for him. That was quite obvious. Man, this was a mistake.

Chance kicked himself for poor word choice as soon as the sister comment had slipped out of his mouth. That hadn't quite been what he was trying to say or the way he was trying to say it and he took a frustrated breath as she of course got mad at him once again for his comment. Obviously he didn't think of her as a sister because that would be very disturbing if he would even consider banging his sister. He was just trying to explain to her how he cared about her and that it was the way friends should care about each other. But he knew that he was going to be losing this fight. It was hard to argue with a woman that had a very strong point to defend and he finaly figured he was just wasting his time and ruining their friendship even more by standing her arguing with her so instead he decided he might as well have another drink.
Waving down a waitor, he ordered a rather strong drink and watched as the man ran off to the bar to get it. While he was busy waiting for the bar tender to make him his drink, Chance turned his light blue eyes back to Mahkenzie, taking a deep breath to cool off his thoughts and his words before thinking about what he was going to say before he said it so it didn't end up coming out wrong like it had before.
"Look Kenz, you're one of my really close friends and I do care about you. And I'm sorry if I did something to fuck up our friendship but I'm not gonna stand here and argue with you, tryin' to get you to forgive me. But I hope we can get past it and be friends again. I know I'd like that." he replied, his tone much more cool and collected than it had been before. His light blue eyes turned back to the waitor as he took the drink the man handed him before paying him for it and giving him a bit of a tip as well. Leaning his back against the nearby wall, Chance sighed once more before draining the drink in a few swallows, the alcohol burning his throat on the way down. His gaze stared at the empty glass that just had ice in it now as he debated on ordering another, also wondering if she would say anything else or head back to her friends and her grabby new guy.

Kenzie knew he probably hadn't meant things the way they had come out, she could see it in his expressions, that he hadn't. So she kind of felt bad for snapping at him yet again, but in a way she didn't. She missed hanging out with him, and she missed the joking and the messing around they used to do, and apparently he had missed it too. He was the only person that she had ever trusted enough to go that far with, and there was a reason for that. She had considered him her best friend, as she still didn't know many people around here. Brook was her only other friend beside the four she was with, and they were just from the label. Paid friends, as she called them. John, she didn't know where he was from, he was just there, loving every second of getting to feel her up and pray that she'd get drunk enough to go home with him at the end of the night, which she wouldn't.
Kenzie watched as he ordered another drink, and the waitress brought her another shot as well, knowing it was due time for it. Kenzie emptied the shot quickly and effectively. She knew that she was going to regret these shots in the morning but as for right then, she really didn't care too much about it. She was too distracted by Chance, to think about a hang over, or care about one. Kenz sighed as the burn struck her, and she held the empty glass loosely in her hand. She knew things weren't getting any better. She could see that their arguing was not getting any points across, and it was definitely not solving anything beside making each other more mad at one another. She knew it was about time for the arguing to stop for the night. She knew she would most likely be texting him tomorrow. He was just a hard guy to resist.
Kenzie heard his words and instantly she felt bad for everything she had said to him. She had figured that he wouldn't care so much about her hateful comments, and the way she had gone about things, but it was now apparent that he cared much more than she had originally thought he had. "I am sorry, Chance. I don't know what I was saying. I've missed hanging out with you a lot... I just figured... I guess I thought you were just using me... Don't be mad for me saying it. It's just what I thought." She said softly now, the anger now gone from her body language. It was apparent now all she felt was regret for her actions, but not for what they had done together. Kenzie was about to speak more on why she had done what she had done when John appeared by her side.
She could feel his hand on her ass and instantly she stiffened. She could tell this wasn't a good deal. John was some up and coming actor, model, or singer. Something or another, she hadn't really been paying attention to him much. Instead she had more along the lines been thinking of Chance and wishing he was there. If he had been there she knew John wouldn't have been doing what he was doing. Well, now Chance was there. And she was wrong again. "baby, why don't we get outta here, it's obvious this guys just causin' you problems. We can go to my house... you'll forget all about it." by this point John was practically hanging off of her, and though she tried to shrug him off, he didn't get the hint. Her hand ran behind her back, trying hard to cover up her discomfort, as she swiped his hand away which only found it's place back where it had been.
He was acting as if Chance wasn't even standing there when he spoke again. C'mon baby, you've been a tease all night, and now you aren't gonna put out, what kinda shit is that? Kenzie still said nothing to him, but shot Chance another apologetic look for the awkward situation they were now placed in once again. Oh, how'd did she get herself into these messes.

Chance was considering leaving her alone for the night since it took her a long time before she finally spoke up but when she did she said that she was sorry and that she had missed hanging out with him and had thought he was just using her, which wasn't true at all. She was one of his best friends and he had thought that she knew that he didn't want to ruin their friendship by having sex. A soft smile spread across his face at her words and he turned to face her, his hand going to her face as he gently brushed some of her hair out of her eyes before brushing his thumb against her cheek a bit before speaking.
"I thought you knew I wasn't just using you when I asked if you were sure you wanted to sleep with me. I didn't want to do anything that would mess up our friendship or make you uncomfortable." he replied, letting his hands fall back to his side once more as his smile fell a bit when he remembered the night they had slept together. It wasn't that it was a bad night, quite the opposite. It had been a very good night for him and hopefully her as well. But he would have given it up easily if he would have known that it would have caused this much tension between them.
A frown immediately spread across his face as the guy she had been sitting with and talking to earlier came over and began to run his hands all over her body before letting them rest on her ass. Chance could tell that the guy was making Kenz uncomforatble and he was about to step forward and say something to him until he spoke once more, saying it was shit that she had been teasing him all night but wasn't gonna put out. That was enough to make Chance ditch the less painful way of getting rid of this asshole and going straight to the more painful way.
His jaw clenched once more and Chance took a step towards the man before grabbing a hold of his shoulder and pulling him away from Mahkenzie before punching him in the face. His anger was obvious and the man looked up at Chance and was about to hit him back when Chance kneed him in the stomach and then slammed his elbow into the man's back, sending him to the ground where he remained, moaning in pain. Turning back to Kenz, he was done messing around in public. He was already gonna get his ass chewed out by his agent for kicking the ass of some random guy in a bar but he didn't give a shit. Instead he let his light blue eyes rest of Kenz before he took her hand.
"Come on, let's get out of here." he said simply before stepping over the man that still lay on the floor and led her out of the bar. Once in the cool air, he felt a bit better but guilt still pulsed through his veins over what he had done to that guy. That one probably wasn't going to go away very quickly but oh well. He would deal with that in the morning. Tonight he just needed to get home. He decided that he would just take Kenz back to his place that way they could both get to bed early and she didn't need to be by herself after all the alcohol she had gone through that night. Putting his arm around her, he helped her to the car before driving towards his house.

Kenzie had known that the way John was acting was only going to lead to issues. His words had stung her a bit. She knew she hadn't been teasing him, she just avoided a scene, and didn't tell him to stop when he had been feeling her up earlier. She knew that bad publicity could ruin a career, and she was pretty good at avoiding that kind of stuff. She had heard of simpler things ruining people's careers in the industry. Kenzie had only begun, and her first album was due to be released in only a week. She didn't need any publicity stunt to ruin that. She was smarter than most, and she was not going to go all Britney spears, and shave her hair off. She also knew she wasn't going to fight with the drunken idiot either. He was just being obnoxious, though he was becoming more and more irritating by the second.
Kenzie smiled as he brushed some of her hair out of her face, his hands gentle and soft. She she had missed him, but just a friend. She had heard his words and she smiled warmly at him. It was nice to hear that he had not just been using her for what she gave him. Course, it had probably been silly for her to have believe that from the beginning. He had been so cautious about that night, and had made sure that she wanted to do it, before they had engaged into anything. She should have known, but with all the rumors that were swirling around, she had been confused. Who would blame her for that? It was a harsh place, Los Angeles, and if they could ruin your life, they would try. She was learning this now. Kenzie smiled and leaned over kissing him softly on the cheek as she laughed. "It's just, with all the rumors... I just need to learn what to believe and what not to believe I guess." she had laughed again
She could see the tension in Chance's body when John had come over, saying what he said, and doing what he was doing. She had tried to hide the fact that she was inadvertently uncomfortable. She knew Chance could see it, he knew her too well. He knew that if she was enjoying it, she would lavish in the attention, but instead she looked stiff and rigid under his hands. She was getting ready to say something, so that John would leave, but apparently, Chance was going to handle that for her. Kenzie stepped back as Chance grabbed John by the shoulder, hitting him hard. Kenzie had contemplated stepping in to stop Chance, but as soon as she went to, he was putting John back on the ground. Kenzie was relatively shocked by Chance's actions. She hadn't seen him like that before, and one thing was for sure. She wouldn't mess with him if she were a guy.
She felt Chance grabbing her hand, and telling her that he wanted to leave. She didn't protest, and followed him obediently out of the club. She sighed when they finally got outside. The cool air felt nice. Kenzie felt his arm around her as he led her towards his car. She figured he was bringing her to his house, which wasn't surprising, but she didn't figure things were going to go like they had the last time. She willingly got into his car, and before she knew it, they were in his house. Kenzie glanced over, grabbing his arm softly. "You didn't have to do that... back there I mean. But thank you." She smiled softly at him, though she felt bad. Noticing that his knuckles looked a little swollen. "I am sorry. I should have stopped you." she mumbled softly. She felt undeniably guilty for his fight with John. What else could she mess up.

When they finally reached his house and got inside, Chance looked down at his knuckles and saw that they were a bit swollen and there were a couple of scratches on them as well that had a bit of blood welling up but nothing serious. Wiping the blood off on his t shirt, he stripped it off in the entry way before wrapping it around his hand. His jaw had been clenched the entire way home as he brought his anger level back down to normal. One thing Chance didn't like doing was fighting. Mainly because once he got started it was hard for him to stop. But as his fury lowered back down until it was almost completely gone, he tried to push the thoughts of the fight out of his head. When she spoke to him, saying sorry and thank you, he was able to muster a small smile before it slipped from his features once more. Slipping past her, he headed towards the steps before going into his room, leaving his bedroom door open in case she needed anything.
Taking his jeans off, he pulled on a pair of old basketball shorts that he slept in but didn't bother getting another shirt. Going into his bathroom, he rinsed off his hand before patting it dry on the towel and then heading back into his bedroom. Sitting on the side of his bed, he put his elbows on his knees and sighed loudly as he tried to think through things. He would have to call his agent tomorrow, that was if his agent hadn't already called him. They would have to figure out some way to get his image to look better. And on top of that, he wasn't even sure where him and Kenzie stood as far as their friendship went. Falling back onto the bed, he sighed once more and stared up at the ceiling before finally shutting his eyes as his whole body realized just how worn out he was.

Kenzie already felt bad enough for the whole month and a half she had ignored him, and now she had gotten him into a fight. He was obviously not happy about that, but it wasn't like she could stop him. If she had tried he probably would have just ignored her. Guys got like that when they were fighting, they tended to zone out, and only focus on their target. Kenzie knew that if she had tried to get in the middle, she may have gotten hurt in the process only making Chance more furious. She knew all the things, and that was why she had stayed back. But it was not like she had a lot of time, as fast as Chance started it, he had ended it. He wad definitely a rugged and strong man. She had always known that, but he surely had used those muscles that night.
Kenzie could see he was pissed, and he only offered her a weak smile before he went upstairs, and didn't invite her like he normally would have. Kenzie sighed glancing around the main foyer. She sighed again leaning back against the wall as she glanced up at the ceiling. Slowly she walked towards the living room, sitting down on the couch for a moment. She knew his house well, but she didn't know where any of the room were, she had only ever stayed in his room with him, but it didn't seem like a night where she would be staying in there with him. She sighed again rising from her seat. Climbing the stairs quickly. Kenzie knocked lightly on his door frame before peeking her head in. "Chance, are you alright?" she asked him quietly.
She knew he was physically, but mentally he looked pretty drained. She stepped just barely inside the doorway. Running a hand through her blonde hair, looking at the floor before her. "If you... just want to be alone, I will just go. I'll call a cab. I can just call you tomorrow." she said simply, running her hands through her hair again. After fixing what was wrong, it now felt like everything had gone back to the way they were before they had talked. Now she had no clue where they were even at in their friendship, and she didn't like that, but she was surely going to leave it alone for the night, possibly a couple days. Her friendship with him might have just cost him a lot in trying to fix what had happened. Way to go, Kenzie.
